Als Rückenschmerzen bezeichnet man Schmerzen der Muskeln, Nerven, Knochen oder anderen Strukturen im Bereich des Rückens bzw. der Wirbelsäule. In der medizinischen Terminologie werden Rückenschmerzen als Dorsalgie bezeichnet. Eine Lumbalgie bzw. Lumboischialgie bezeichnet Schmerzen in der Lenden- oder Kreuzregion.
